Welcome

Welcome to our website. Our school was founded in June 1999 and was named Seikeikan by Terada Kiyoyuki Hanshi, 10th dan Yoshinkan Aikido, in 2000. The Seikeikan was registered the same year with the Aikido Yoshinkai Foundation, formerly the International Yoshinkai Aikido Federation.

The dojo is located in the Community of Orangevale which is in N.E. Sacramento County. We are bordered by Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, Folsom and Roseville. Our classes are run through the Orangevale Recreation & Park District and we are located in the Orangevale Youth Center.

The founder and chief instructor is Mr. Steven Miranda. Mr. Miranda began his studies of Yoshinkan Aikido in 1982 and currently holds the rank of 6th dan (6th degree black belt) and holds a level 1 instructor certificate. This allows Mr. Miranda to promote and register his students with the Yoshinkan Aikido main dojo to the rank of yondan (4th degree black belt). Mr. Miranda can also grant instructor certificates to level 3 which gives the holder grading and registration authority to nidan (2nd degree black belt).

Instruction at the Seikeikan dojo is conducted by Mr. Miranda who is assisted by one of several AYF registered instructors, black belts as well as senior students. The chief technical advisor to the Seikeikan is Mr. Amos L. Parker, 9th dan, of Houston, Texas.
